Greenville, SC:

Greenville Zoo

Our latest adventure took us to the Greenville Zoo!

We ventured to the Greenville Zoo as a family of 4 for the first time, and for the first time period. I just wanted to make a point that we willfully went to the zoo with a toddler and an infant. *giant proud smile*

As you may or may not know, going out with a toddler is a venture on its own, but adding an infant is very risky. But to our surprise, they were both very good! My favorite adventures are the ones where we get to do things with kids, especially when it is their first time! The look of wonder and excitement makes it that much better!

Greenville Zoo is a great place to visit with the whole family. Not only does it offer animal exhibits, but you can also enjoy their multiple play installations including a park with swing sets and everything!

Compared to other zoos we’ve been to, it is relatively affordable at around $10 per adult and $7 for ages 3-15. Here’s a secret that is not so secret; you can purchase one of their annual memberships that usually includes 2 adults in a household and children under 18. Memberships include free year-round admission to Greenville Zoo and free or discounted admission to all other zoos and aquariums part of the AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums), which pretty much includes a lot of major locations!

So, of course, we purchased the membership and plan on visiting locations in South Carolina as well as in the surrounding states.

At Greenville Zoo you will be able to see various animal species, walk through beautiful views, visit the gift shop and concessions stand. And, there is also a picnic area!

Our favorite part was the views and all the greenery and for baby CJ, everything that was off limits. Haha *sigh*

However…

I’m going to be 100% honest with you. While strolling the zoo, we somehow missed a turn and skipped a whole section of the zoo, which is why I’m going to tell you to PLEASE follow the map they provide you with in order to not miss anything! Haha.

We will definitely be back, very soon!
