Birthday #2!
How has it been 2 years already?
Time really does fly by when you have kids! Wish it would slow down during these cute years so we could enjoy more before the teen years! Haha.
As 2016 ended, I started to freak out a little because baby CJ’s birthday was coming up pretty quick and I had no idea what we would do for his birthday.
Being in a new place away from family, we weren’t sure about a party because since baby CJ does not attend daycare, there’s not much foreign baby interaction other than our neighbors, who are great by the way ;), and our friends from Arizona that have lived here for a couple years, already had plans to travel out of state on that weekend. So, planning a big birthday party was out of the question.
Husband and I brainstormed and he suggested going to Chuck E Cheese. I’m not particularly keen about the games because of all the germs, but I was considering it. If not that, I thought maybe just a little get together with cake and inviting our friendly neighbors would work so that baby CJ could play with his friends.
Alas, we decided to go to Chuck E Cheese after all. We invited our neighbors who baby CJ loves to play with. He had a really great time! He ran around and played on the machines. He didn’t care much for Chuck E, but he watched the show anyway.
Although this time we celebrated his birthday in the simplest way, he had tons of fun and he was wiped out after being there for a couple hours. I think his favorite part of the day was getting to play with all the balloons we got him!
I really wish it could have been more special and thought out like his first birthday, but I’m glad baby CJ got his cake fix and had fun playing with his friends!
How did you or how do you plan to celebrate your toddler’s birthday?

How cute blog post! 🙂 I like to read it.
Thank you! 🙂
I love reading your posts and watching my little grand nephew grow. Thanks for doing this for the family.
We love sharing our experiences as we go through them. I think this is going to be a great thing to show baby CJ when he’s old enough to understand!
Awwwww so cute!
Thanks! 🙂
That’s so cute! Chuck E. Cheese is always the easiest route to go for small children.
Thanks! I just wish there would have been a ball pit! Is this the new norm? Is your nearest chuck e cheese ball pit less?
Chuck E Cheese is a great option for kids! So many fun games there.. Looks like fun!
It is! it was just a bit hard for me this time around because of the flu that was going around, I wanted to be extra cautious.
Awe happy 2nd birthday, simple is usually the best, I’m sure he had a blast
Thank you! And simple was great, I didn’t have clean after anyone! lol He definitely had tons of fun too!
Time really does go by way too fast once you have little ones!
Yes! I just hope with 2 little ones, time doesn’t go by twice as fast!
I am in the midst for planning birthday #1! It’s so much work! This party looked awesome.
Awesome! and thanks! you should check out our First Birthday Smash Cake post! See how we did our own photoshoot! 🙂
Birthday parties are special no matter how big or small. It looked like your little had a wonderful time!
They really are! Especially now that he’s this small, he doesn’t know the difference! 😀 He did have a great time!
Beyond cute! Great idea on the party x

Thank you! 😀
I’m in the same situation. No family nearby, not in daycare, almost two and not a clue what we’re going to do. Chuck E Cheese sounds like a great option. Thanks for the idea😊
Glad you found it helpful! I totally understand the feeling!
Aww time files! Happy birthday to the little cutie 🙂
It really does! Thanks 🙂

Looks like a lot of fun! Chuck E Cheese is a classic for a reason!
I didn’t realize the power of it! lol Classic for sure!
What a fun looking birthday! Isn’t it crazy how fast the time goes?
It was lots of fun! Time needs to slow down, I don’t want to have a teenager so soon! lol
