New Year
2018
Happy New Year!
Did 2017 fly by or what!? Sooo many great things happened and I am so excited to see what 2018 brings!
So what great things happened to us in 2017? Letβs take a trip down memory lane!
First things first. We welcomed the new year (2017) with a new baby! Baby CJ made all our holidays that much more special and he learned to walk on his own that same month!
We visited the WildLife World Zoo in Phoenix, AZ where baby CJ got to see his favorite animals. We also stopped by at the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park for the first time and loved the charming exhibitions.
Valentineβs Day was the first lifestyle post topic on Little Conquest that got this awesome ball rolling!
Husband and I celebrated 3 wonderful years of marriage and reminisced about our honeymoon in magical Jamaica by sharing with you how beautiful that place is!
We shared baby CJβs first birthday smash cake and how easy it is to DIY. Weβve never been so excited for a birthday before baby CJ came along! Iβm telling you, he makes everything that much better!
We celebrated our second year of Motherβs Day and Fatherβs Day, which were better than the last because baby CJ was a bit more aware than the first. And, I personally think that they will get better each year just because we get to see this little human that we made, grow up both mentally and physically before my eyes!
In July 2017, we purchased our first home! Which also meant we moved across country with a toddler and 2 kitties. Going from city to suburb was quite a change! But, we love it here and canβt wait to explore more of it in the new year.
Within a few weeks of moving into our new home, we found out we were expecting baby #2. Boy, was that a surprise! We are so eager to meet our new little human early spring this new year. Wish baby CJ could understand a little better than he would be just as excited! Hehe.
Little Conquest turned one in September!
As the temperatures started cooling down, we visited the pumpkin patch here in SC. Baby CJ got to pick out his own pumpkin and even got to cut it off the vine! Well, kind of. Husband did most of the cutting work. Halloween followed pretty quickly and we went trick or treating for the very first time. Baby CJ was pretty wary about going up to strangers doors, but even with skipping houses, we still managed to get lots of candy!
Being our first year in our new home, we hosted some family members for Thanksgiving. It was fun having people over and being in our own place made it more special.
It seemed as if Christmas happened the following week, because next thing we knew, we were opening presents! Haha. We had a relaxing Christmas with nothing to worry about. No hosting, no cooking, and no bra! That was the best part, at least for me. Our friends had us over for Christmas dinner which was absolutely lovely and delicious!
So you see, this year was so awesome it just flew by! I know we will top it off in 2018, not only will we be a family of 4, but we are doing bigger and better things now that we are in our new home, and going by this first week of the year, time is already flying by and thereβs no sign of it slowing down! All there is to do is catch up and move faster while enjoying the ride!
