Cinco De Mayo Recipes

Mexican food is delicious! Trust me, I’m Mexican.

Cinco De Mayo is the commemoration of the victory over France at the Battle of Puebla. This holiday is widely celebrated in the US and it is viewed more as a celebration of Mexican food and culture.

I see it as a great opportunity to try out new Mexican recipes, especially if you don’t cook regularly. Sure you can go to a Mexican restaurant and go that route, but often those places aren’t really authentic or lack real Mexican flavor!

We love cooking at our house and from time to time we’ll venture on to more elaborate dishes which we often find on Pinterest. There are literally hundreds of Mexican recipes on Pinterest and while I haven’t tried them all, I can often tell from the ingredients whether they are worth trying or not.

Here are some great Mexican recipes I found to try out this Cinco De Mayo!

These look really good. We’re lucky to have a really good Mexican restaurant in town. It was voted Best Mexican Restaurant in New Jersey in New Jersey magazine!

These all look amazing! Definitely going to try the barbacoa. I usually make carnitas for tacos so it’ll be a nice change! I will probably make tacos and Mexican street corn.

It’s funny, isn’t it? You subconsciously make the same thing every time and then something else comes up and you’re like have I really been making the same thing all this time? lol
