Father’s Day
Father’s Day is right around the corner, so read on for some insight!
For this Father’s Day post, I wanted to hear from dads and get their point of view on the aforementioned holiday.
I found out 3 things.
- Men do not care for surveys as much as I hoped for.
- The dads who did take the survey all agree that they want to spend the holiday with their family.
- 40% of the dads who completed the survey do not want to receive a gift.
So, what should be our takeaway?
I’ve been asking myself that question for a couple days and honestly, the only takeaway I can get from that is that men are far more simplistic than I’ve ever imagined. I can be more specific if you’d like and I know you do so here it goes;
Out of the of clicks the survey received, only 3% actually participated, which means 8 questions were too many or they just don’t like helping out a bloggin’ momma. *sobs in the corner*
The 3% of dads who took the survey, all want to spend the holiday with their family and out that 3 percent, 60% of them want to spend it outdoors barbecuing.
And, 60% of dads who took the survey, ‘maybe’ want to receive a gift and it’s probably because they don’t care what they get. Unless his name is Dennis, then he wants a copy of John Wick 2!
So for Father’s Day, I can’t really tell you what you should do or what you should give the dad in your life. Instead, I can advise that you try asking him what he wants and chances are he’ll tell you. If not, go BBQ since it seems to be most popular amongst men and get him something he wouldn’t regularly buy for himself, like these shirts I got for husband last year.
Lastly, I just want to say, Happy Father’s Day to those who put their children’s interest before their own because that’s what makes a great parent!
And, a special shoutout to my wonderful soulmate who has made possible for me to be home full time with baby CJ– LOVE YOU MORE!

Yep, dads seem to be pretty simple. Mine wants to spend the weekend with the kids. We are going to a water park to have some fun. Our youngest turns 4 this weekend, father’s day, and my husband turns 50!
Yay! Happy Birthday to them! Have fun at the water park!
