Greenville, SC: The Children’s Museum of the Upstate
Summer is here and it is hot as hell outside!
While summer might be fun for hanging out by the pool and barbequing every now and then, what else is there to do out in the heat? Seriously, please tell me.
One thing we have found in our area that works for those extra hot and boring days is The Children’s Museum of the Upstate. The museum offers great, affordable, educational and most importantly, cool indoor fun for the whole family!
While we have personally been there just a handful of times, we have fun every time we are there. However, on our most recent visit we learned from a friend that if you get the membership, you can get in as many times as you want for free! Whaaaaaat?!
Well, not completely free since you do have to pay for the membership which is anywhere between $150 and $500 depending on the membership you want to buy. General Admission is $10 for adults and $9 for children 1-15 years old, so every time we go we pay $19. If you do the math for $150 we can get in about 7 times, so getting the membership definitely makes sense!
With the $150 Family Membership, it includes 2 adults and all children in your household along with discounts for museum-related things! This would be perfect for families with multiple kiddos.
There is plenty to do and see at the Children’s Museum such as art, music, building, and so much more! And, if you get hungry you can always visit the Seedlings Restaurant on the 1st floor.
If you are in the Greenville area and are looking for something fun to do with the kiddos, this is the place to be!
What are your favorite indoor activities for those more than warm summer days?
